Frankly, i have not watched any tamil movies of Rajnikanth. I did watch his hindi movie Chaalbaaz and enjoyed his comic timing. But the frenzy and hysteria this man creates is unheard of. A few of my friends are die-hard fans of Rajnikanth and can not take his criticism just lying down. He is one of the biggest stars in India and has got a massive following. But i really want to know as to what makes him so big and larger than life?

He does not appear in ads showing Rs.10 paste, collecting crores of money for that. He does not forget his old friends and the background, does not care for his image while appearing in public functions.

Dude FYI he is the Highest paid actors in the Indian Cinema Industry today.. Money is of no matter for him to lead his daily life style.. His Simplicity and generosity is what makes him so special. Remember his SRK asking Rajni what should one do to become a Badshah even when bollywood believes SRK as badshaw. It is tough for one to lead a simple life in-spite of being rich.. very few succeed take Warren Buffet, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela.. I'm not comparing him to them, only as examples..

U are proclaiming them as queens there.. Shilpa, tabu, raveena and all others came ehre and acted in very normal budget movies.. This is their status..

rajni was once a box office king until vijay arrived on the scene. it is difficult to fathom how people accept rajni as a superstar even now, when his movies don't run for more than 1 week.
