Both Aniston and Butler were in Auto-pilot mode. The Director was not paid i suppose. So he just said to Bulter and Aniston, do some thing...i will take care in editing. The movie was such a mess.
The reviewer is right - she has not and will not be able to get out of the 'friends' mould - where most of the female players had to do no more than just be themselves. Whatever role she plays she does not ever get her out of the skin of 'jen'. Marley and me - was such a pain because of her repetitive sighing and shrugging and frequently puffing up an indeterminate facial expression - u cant give a name to that expression and/or associate an emotion with it... inane ultra-urbane action (on the lines of the 'i was like' expression that the american celebrities/or their spokespersons, keep mouthing. movie cant be great except for admirers of the lead pair.

Suraj, you are way off target... A minute portion of all the trash made in Hollywood trickles into India... this just came there because some distributors felt that Aniston's A$$ is worth a few rupees to a few of the viewing public... There is a lot more trash made there that, thankfully stays there And anyways, we generate enuf trash ourselves... why other with Amrika's trash
problem with hwood movies are great graphical technology but no concept or story in moive..though ballaya is not exception..watch him for comic role in a serious movie

It is pure bullshit that people like Sean Connery have not outgrown from characters like James Bond. What about The Untouchables.His film career also includes such films as Marnie, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Hunt for Red October, Dragonheart, and The Rock. Hell...What about Entrapment? Julia Roberts is far beyond Pretty Woman...in Erin Brokovich; My Best Friend's Wedding, Mystic Pizza, Notting Hill, Runaway Bride, Valentine's Day and crime films such as The Pelican Brief and Ocean's Eleven and Twelve... Write when you know it all...Just don't brand or type cast an artists work...Sitting to criticize is very easy :(
Mr. Elvis Kindly do not write flamboyant stuff...with no substance. The movie has been nice. Its because of stupid reviews like this that movies do not end up reaching its target audience. Please access movies. Do not criticize it! Remember, that the hall mark of a great reviewer is that he tells you why to watch a movie. One moment of magic on screen is what makes or breaks stars, connects audiences and garners accolades for a movie. The converse is also true...Thanks to critics like you...

I guess u are wrong; all the movies you named for Sean, he is not the only lead person in the film. Julia might not be good example here; but still other examples are fair too. The movie is crap; if u say its fine then u havent seen enough as its Copy & paste of scenes from all romantic flicks :)

Dude, As for Sean he has the charisma to carry out any movie... It is not a typecast charecter like Bond that he is remembered for...As for Bond, he is the best bond till Date! He is the one who got Bond the limelight... This review is crap for sure, its pure bias.

I completely agree with you, this looks to be a biased review, I have seen the trailer and the making it looks to be an entertaining movie, JA and Butler look good together.

have u seen the actual movie? most movies look good in the trailers; that's the reason why trailers are made.
i saw tht movie 2 days ago, and felt like nice movie and wanted to see it in theater, many of my friends all so felt same , Bounty hunter is vry nice movie, u should see it and then read this critics, some time i wounder about critics, they write some scraps abt good movies, guys plz watch it on your week ends,,

I'm a Gerard Butler fan.. but movie is not up to the mark.. I would rate The Ugly Truth 10 times better than this !! Hope Butler stops selecting such movies.
The review might be crisp but the opening lines are hogwash. Wat do you mean struck with characterisation. Have you seen Gerald Butler in P.S i love you ?? He is adorable. Another example is Aniston in "The Break Up" with Vince Vaughn. Both are greatly competent actors, and can potray an array of roles. Just the fact that this is a weak movie, doesnt give you the right to assume they are typecasted !!! Hope to see a better review next time.
