Earlier this movie was called LONDON. And was supposed to be directed by Gurinder Chaddha in UK. But when Sunny Deol (producer) saw first two days of the shooting, he ran away from London, and directed the movie himself in India.
Shabana Azmi.......in a comic role....well...thats reason enough for me to watch this flick......lets hope its as good as Bend It Like.....and not a damp squib like B & P(worst movie by GC).......way to go!!!!

Very True. Infact Mira Nair is another such director. They have no skill in film making. Their only qualification - WOMAN, INDIAN, SITTING IN UK/CANADA.

Right from Border, Singh Is King to Namaste London, Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo, etcc many films have shown Sikhs in good light.
We Indians are proud of Sikhs or for that matter any one who is a part of India.
Like every cast/creed/religion, there have been some who have brought down the image of the brethren....Similarly some films also have shown Sikhs in bad light...btu u definitely cannot generalize them.

On the contrary, I feel that sikhs in bollywood are never shown in negative roles because almost everyone that matters in film industry are punjabis or muslims. Punjabis are emotional lot and find romanticism in new religions such as Sikhism, though by and large they themselves do not care about religion. Muslims are very mindful of not hurting the sentiments of any minorities in this country, be it Buddhists, or Jains, or Sikhs or Christians.
I dont remember any sikh villian or a don, unless of course in a comic role.
