unfortunately for you dude!! Mani Ratnam is considered one of the finest directors in the country and unlike RGV he has proven that time again with classic hits nayagan, anjali, roja, bombay, dil se, yuva, guru.. and these are only movies he made in hindi. half a dozen more in tamil. Hardly a flop. Never a critical failure. When you should be proud that he is an internationally respected and reputed director. All you can say was ****.
I dont balame you. maybe ur tastes in movies is different and hiz kinda movies dont excite you. Not ur fault.

all the positive things about Maniratnam that you said is fine. but i did not understand, what is "internationally respected". i checked with my japanese, usa, uk, europe friends. none of them know who is maniratnam. or do u mean Indians living in those countries and that is suffice to say "internationally respected"

and I asked my friends here in India and none of them knew any names of directors in USA, UK, Japan, China...most of them dint know the names...so that means these countries don have good directors...OBAMA try visiting film fests...you will see the response for Indian Cinema and our technicians.....
The actor sudeep (rajiv in phoonk), is a great actor in kannada film industry, his acting was brilliant in Rann film, also he had also given lots of hit movies in kannada film industry.

I too strongly suggest weak heart people to avoid this movie. As the sound effects does some times makes one a bit scary.

I just watched the movie. The movie ia total crap. In fact you would find yourself laughing rather than gtng scared... STAY AWAY... P.S. Heard he is planning PHOONK 3...GOD SAVE US!!!
