Ever thought why this country is Marching towards mediocrity everywhere, politics, movies, beurocracy etc.
Politics you cannot get in and rise up unless and until your are somebody's somebody. Mere intelligence and capability wont do. Even if you come up, you will be ultimately taken down = case of point Shashi Taroor
Movies, be in Hindi or Tamil or malayalam - the guys ruling the roost are somebody's somebody and not real talents and they wont allow any talented outsider to come in.
As for other sectors caste Reservations have ensured that mediocrity not only prevail, but thrive!!!

U r absolutely right!! The reason why this country is not reaching the heights that it actually deserves is coz of mediocrity. Give more caste reservations n country will go to the dogs!!
This is one of the worst movies I have seen in a long long time. Irrestpective of reviews...skip it. The director made it while being in a slumber. The actors are soporofic. The story...there is none at all.
Really wish to find out what is that halucinatory effect that enables directors to make this kind of films.

copied from Chak de India dogs no respect... CDI was also a banal film but lifted to greatnesss by SRK's appearance.. look at the main actor in this film... Shahid himself copies srk the great. who is shahid anyway... o yeah the guy who used to stand next to kareena n pose
My appeal to Indian Film Makers, stop horrifying us with these clueless & tasteless movies rather try to make movies of good taste, story, acting with good actors. Why don't you watch once again old movies like: ANDHI, MAUSAM, IZAZAT, MASOOM, MACHIS, KALAPATTHAR, AMAR PREM, DEEWAR,NAMAK-HARAM,ANNAND,... the list is huge. I am sure these movies can give some inspiration and revitalize to make again some movies of calibre !!.
