Steroid filled Bollywood
by Sameer Bhagwat on Apr 15, 2010 12:03 AM  | Hide replies

Its so refreshing to look at Natural Body figures of Malyalam stars than watching silicone and streoid filled bodies and wigs of SRK, Salman, Saif of Bollywood. verything about them is fake.

Mallu stars are authentic , they look like the common people and act naturally.

The black leather jacket and the matching ladies outfit are a common sight in Kerala well suited for the climate. So are the background dancers. You can find them in every nook and corner of the state

The choreographer should get a noble prize to make them dance.

Oveweight stars from the south!
by nisha thoas on Apr 14, 2010 07:19 PM  | Hide replies

The picture above would make one laugh..two people with no dancing skills and enough fat around them trying to look cool. I think some of the industries from down south should make fitness compulsory for its stars. Learn from bollywood atleast where they can act as well as look good while doing so. Arjun ramphal and Saif khan are national award winners, but at the same time they have marvellous bodies. Also tamil has improved, with Surya and vikram going for the lean look. I would rather watch these men, rather than some of them from the other industries down south. And yes, I am a bangalore mallu :)

Arjun Ramphal winning the National award was a joke. He has a wooden face with only one expression on it. He cannot convey emotions. He is good looking that's all there is

Hilarious!!! Comparing Saif and Arjun Rampal to South indian actors..Everyone knows how Saif won his national award and that too for his peformance in a movie like Hum Tum...Having 6 packs or a size 0 figure is not the criteria to become a movie star. Atleast most south indian actors/heroines look natural and can act far better than the plastic 'stars' in hindi cinema. Hope 'Bangalore Mallu" Gets the point

We are just funny people. Heros at sixty, can covert with girls 20, even yonger. But the heroines are past their date at 25. When they are married, they are cast away.

In Hollywood they carry on beyond fifty, both sexes. We also lap them up with gusto!

We have double standards, plain & simple!

I agree with you Shiva. We are living with double standards. Malayalam movies are not about sculpted figures. They are more often about humans like you and me.

You just have to watch Mammootty's Paleri Manikyam Oru Paathira Kolapaathakathinde Katha to realize what unbelievably superb movies they make in Malayalam!

And I am a Karnataka born guy still not comfortable with Malayalam language!

Unfortunately Mallus are no longer interested in the realistic stuff with a bearded chap puffing his beedi in slow motion on an isolated rock.
Palerimanikyam was a flop , it was Chattambinadu, a cheap , crass entertainer that raked in the bucks. Plus dubbed silly Telugu movies. Malls have lost whatever standard they had during the late 90's itself.

Palerimanikyam was a FLOP, financial and characteristic wise. It looked like a lame attempt to boast over aged superstar’s ego, so is CHATTAMPINAADU.Mallu’s have lost interest in watching Adoor aravindan type of movies. But it doesn’t means that all the movies which are coming out from the Malayalam industries are craps. Also it is better to watch some original ordinary humans playing the lead roles than watching wooden faced silicon bodied humans.
