When Bollywood celebs turn good Samaritans
by suchet bal on Apr 08, 2010 07:26 PM  | Hide replies

Would love to see Celebs do something unusual like start

Lata Mangeshkar School for the Deaf because these unfortunate people can never hear her beautiful voice.

Aishwarya Rai School for the Blind because these unfortunate people can never see her beauty.

Prabhu Deva School for the Handicap because these unfortunate people can never dance at all.

Mukesh and Anil Ambani School for the Orphans because these unfortunate people don't have parents at all unlike richest dad they had.

etc.

Good thought, buddy!
As people grow reach, they should consider giving back to the society 'selflessly', by doing whatever is possible by them.

Its great to see our fav stars and the finest actors in our country give back something to society. I thin the stars in south should learn from them since i havent heard anything from the big stars there. Bollywood is currently making waves in the west with quality movies, and despite that, the stars are egoless and down to earth, so its great.

Acknowledged Philanthropy
by Dayal kayastha on Apr 08, 2010 02:28 PM

I appreciate bollywood who has always come ahead in times of crisis, and the way they display their integrity has no match, not in any profession..Kudos for their philanthropist activities and they are one of the most regular tax payers..
Bloggers in this site just knows to shout without introspecting how big crook they are, and yes this relates to avergae posts which i keep reading everyday..
Always remember fools,Big Ideas are the biggest way to earn money, and IPL and bollywood are classic examples of that and they have represented India at all levels.

Batman
Cheap

Good to see publicity-hungry Vivek Oberoi not in this list. You will always see Oberoi doing charity work only when the film release is around the corner. Cheap fellow.
Salman is probably the best when it comes to charity does it from the heart.

it is heartening to see that big movie stars like aishwarya bachchan and salman khan are devoting their finances and time for helping the underprivileged. Its time that more and more celebrities and the ordinary folk chipped in to help those in need.
