It is heartening that such people in the glamour world who have access to all that money and riches could provide have realised its ultimate shallowness ,and find an obvious attraction for Hinduism which alone can satisfy the hunger of their Soul.
Rediff, please stop sensationalising such issues. What is so great about it? She came here to make money - that all. She did not come here for charity or educate the poor or feed the needy. Even reading such headlines is sickening. Please go for some serious issues. There are so many issues to be sorted out and being one of the four pillars of democracy please show some responsibility

Bala would it be a fair assessment to say that you actually look forward to foreigners (stars and celebrities) to come to India and feed the poor? So are you indicating that we are not capable of looking after our own underprivileged?

Beats me why you south indians are such big cynics? You have some invisible glass that only can see bad things in everything even if there is none? And by the way what kind of news item you expect under movies?!
It is as if the most happening event in our country and because of this price rise in essential goods are going to come down. WHY DO YOU PEOPLE GIVE A LOT OF IMPORTANCE TO THESE TINSEL TOWN PEOPLE BE IT THE HOLLYWOOD WORLD OR THE BOMBAY FILM INDUSTRY? CONCENTRATE ON ACTIVITIES THAT EFFECT THE COMMON MAN.

Common man is busy in earning his lively hood say his roti(not bread because it is even expensive). He will not see it and read it. So he will not see even ads beside this news so what is the benefit to rediff.

Please don't say we are going to attack Pakistan to solve our terrorism problem, because 1) we can't and won't. It's expensive, it can go wrong, and will ruin us economically. Unlike 1971, we have much to lose today. 2) There is a genuinely disgruntled population in Kashmir and other parts of India today. By acting as if all terror comes from outside, we are blinding ourselves to the obvious facts (it's politically difficult for a PM to say that there are religious and ethnic minorities in India who are indulging in terrorism in kashmir, NE and other parts). Pakistan is a facilitator, but they did not create the problem. Just like we did not create the LTTE or the issues that led to its creation, but we did facilitate them until late 80s. Even if eliminating Pakistan were possible, it does not take care of #2. Homegrown terrorists will always find someone else to support them.
THe maoists are not supported from ouside (No, china does not support them. If they did, the maoists would've been all over UP-Bihar-WB by now). Homegrown disgruntled people, unhappy that other grow rich while they grow ever poorer. Maybe, just maybe we should be putting money into fixing that problem than Pak-China. Cuz if we don't, maybe this disparity will destroy us from the inside.
If we ever meant to invade pakistan, we would have done it in december; the iron was hot. The fact is, it's not worth it. More to lose than gain. LeT will just pitch a tent (literally) elsewhere in PoK.

For some points I agree with Annu Malik. However, I will not agree as our economy will be ruined. However, we need to protect our country strongly. Then only our economy will grow. Indian democracy is forgetting that Democracy is not only ruling of majority but also the protection of minority. There is no balance of economic development in Bihar and some other states. It is really painful when people of one state insult and beat people of other states. Some politicians to make only political leverage do all this type of nonsense to their self benefit. Actually, historically these people are not belong to that state at all. Government should focus on balanced development of states.

Mr. Gunnu, Annu is right on this too! You can understand the after affects of nuclear attack. If Pakistan succeeds even 10% our economy will be in terrible shape. Ofcourese Pakistan will be wiped off but at a huge cost!
