Lata GREAT????
by Omi Virani on Sep 28, 2012 01:04 PM  | Hide replies

Lataji is surely a great talented singer but to call her humble is a a far cry...Her dispute with regards to royalty on her songs with Mohd Rafi saab is well known. In her own words only after Mohd Rafi wrote the "so called apology letter" to her did she resumed singing with him, such arrogance does not gel with great persons. Mohd Rafiji was right that once the money has been paid for singing a song where does the right to royalty come!! Why be so greedy

If you try to understand FILM INDUSTRY uncertainty of CAREER and temporary success you will come to know IMPORTANCE of royalty ...How its helping people who worked here but NOT AS SUCCESSFUL as some of them ...SO FROM WIDER POINT OF VIEW THIS ROYALTY IS HELPING ARTISTS IN INDUSTRY
...as far as LATA /ASHA/ RAFI /KISHORE ...FILMS WERE MAKING MORE BUSINESS BACAUSE OF THEIR SINGING TALENTS...MOST OF OF MEDIOCRE FILMS use to get SUCCESS because of these singers MUSICIANS WERE GETTING ROYALTY then why SINGERS who SINGLE HANDEDLY use to RUN films should not ask for it..WHATS PROBLEM IN MAKING MORE MONEY ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE CONTRIBUTING MAJORLY...DIDN'T YOU YOURSELF ASK FOR SALARY RISE & BONUSES WHEN COMPANY IS MAKING GOOD PROFITS...WHY YOU PEOPLE EXPECT OTHERS TO BE "SAINTS"

Lataji turns 80
by mahavir on Sep 28, 2009 01:58 PM

Lataji is my inspiration in the ups and down of the life since last 35 years and still continue otherwise it could have been difficult for me to survive. I feel that Lataji is the mother of a person like me who donot have mother since childhood.Surviving for such a long period in this industry is not due to domination but due to quality and hard work. Some people perhaps born for criticism only.I am very fortunate to have Lataji,Ashaji,Amitabh Bachchan,Vahida Rahaman and Sachin Tendulkar in my this span of life. LONG LIVE LATAJI.........

Little arrogance, creating monopoly self rightousness, etc... are the traits found in may creative persons.

Sometime the one up manship brings the sest out of people.

Kishor, lata or even creative genius like doors etc... were bit eccentric and arrogant.

We should accept the creative persons for their creations
