this the main problem with u people, u just making every thing, every one god. she is amazing no doubt. But human is just human.
better choice of songs are expected as examples when you write anything about Lata. You have given examples of her songs sung in the late nineties when her voice was no longer that of a nightingale. Too Myopic for my taste.

by the way in last many years she has been singing bhajan type songs only (may be a few exception for people like yash chopra who she cant say no to)

And when she sings for Yash Chopra movies she is a wonder. She still gives her best.
No matter she is a good singer but all the duets she sang with rafisaab she was always secondary.I think she palyed too much politics in the hindi film music.Rafi is the best there can be no one like him

Rafi Saheb was completely over-shadowed by Kishore Kumar after 10 years of being at top. Lata stayed at the top of her game for 50 years. So stop making unequal comparisons.

Kishorji's happy mood songs always bring joy when a person is disturbed, whereas Rafisaab was famous for his serious and sad songs. So please don't compare them. Kishorda is the best in Male singers as per my choice.

She is the greatest singer ever, but what you have said is also valid. In duet Rafi used to mix the ragas which Lataji failed to match. After that she stopped singing with rafi and only after ten years she agreed to sing aduet with rafi saheb. Ability to mix ragas is most complex part of any singing and Ghulam Ali is master of that even better than Rafi Saheb.

You are so stupid...listen to Kuhu Kuhu Bole kolaylia and tell me if Lata was not better than Rafi in classical renditions...all classical gurus like Bade Ghulam ali saheb and Jasraj have spoken about the flawlessness of lata....there are too many idiots who have been raised on substandard music to have a trained ear needed to appreciate lata....
