'Global icon' SRK was treated like a beggar in US by immigration officers.
All the other stars you mentioned were treated extremely well by the same US immigration officers.
Mammootty (MOhammed Kutty) asked the officers to check his website and google him up...and told them that he is the winner of MOST number of NATIONAL awards for being the best actor in INdia. So immpressed were the officers that they actually walked with him out of the airport till his car!!!
None of the south Indian star is detained and interrogated!!! LOL...only SRK!

bakawas..most of the south indians don't even know SRK. i think srk can draw some 10,000 in delhi or mumbai not mre thn tht. heard tht more thn a million attended chiranjeevi's meeeting, even rajni kanth can draw tht much crowd.

buddy, SRK movies run in chennai coz our brothers & sisters from north India work and live there. Anyway Multiplexes earn good money as they charge much higher for Bollywood movies.

very true ...but last year there were some 10 lakh people for chiranjeevi speech & even for a movie on rajnikanth there will be more than a lakh people in blore but i really dont know how many people will come to watch mohanlal or srk

Well Akshay kumar is an action hero and not much of actor. He can swim with sharks or jump from 21 floors but can Mohanlal do that ? Same way expecting acting awards from Akshay in place of mohanlal is futile

Do u want Tom Hanks, Marlon brando and Denzel washington to swim with real sharks, to be called talented 'actors'? If a movie plot involves being run over by a train, you want real train to run over real people, for it to be called quality movie? Next you would want real murders and rapes to take place on a movie set? IN which case we dont need actors that can emote any more, right?

rajnikanth has more for international audience than srk except for US.he is very popular in china,japan,souuth africa.
his name was mentioned for respect in japan parliment when manmohan visited japan

Well I am staying in China....and never heard anything about Rajni...people always like to talk about Amitabh, SRK, Hrithik and Aamir. Chinese people always have problem with South Indian English accent

sam, did you read wat salman said abt the efforts he put in while shooting for 'wanted'? i couldn't help laughing. he was talking abt the fight choreographer asking him to fall, jump and fight.
pokiri was a blockbuster out of the hundreds of action movies that release a year in telugu. i guess wanted, ek and ghajini are the only recent bollywood movies with action at its core. and all of them are remakes from the south.
poor bollywood stars or 'icons' as you sarcastically put them. they can only excel in gay gags, must be natural for them. fights are for real men. and they are in abundance down south.
