Prakash Raj

A very talented actor and at his best, be a character actor, Villian role or a supporting role and also qualifies for a sophisticated comedian. One of the all time greats.

Re: If one make a dumb movie..he will get national award.

you got very poor taste. if you think that chak-de can win national award for best movie, then i recommend you watch any telugu movie, since they have 100 times more masala than any bollywood movie. And going by your standards, all telugu movies should win all the awards.

I like his acting skills. He is a best actor. But he is given routine rolls most of the time in southern movies :-(

prakash raj
by ramesh rao on Sep 08, 2009 01:41 PM

prakash raj is a good human being. this phrase is wrongly used by bollywood. but prakash is truly good natured person. Hindi heroes are experts in making money. possessing illegal weapons, anti-nationals and exhibitionists.

It is surprising how Hollywood has not recognised him when sundries from this field are recognised and honoured?
Prakash indeed brings various expressions/emotions in all his movies which is unexpected of an actor of this era. He has even directed few movies which was a whole family entertainer the one being Abhium Nanum. Kanjeevaram has to be views to be believed of Prakash talent.
Congrats Prakash for your achievement. Congrats to Umashree also. Its a Dasara Gift to Karnataka Film Industry that the best actor and actress award has been grabbed by Kannadigas. Let Kannada film industry refresh itself and not say that kannada films are not recognised when majority of the films are stale are remakes which has no viewers. Let them concentrate on a good subject and storyline . When Bangaradha Manushya can run continuously for three years and re=run for yet another year, can't other film run atleast for one full month? Viewers cannot be fooled for ever. They are wise and smart now and know the value of money.

Balasubramanian, Bangalore

Agreed to your points Mr.Balu, but with the help of some actors like sudeep, Upendra, sadhu etc most of the producers from Tamil, Telugu and even from Malayalam and Marathi Film industry want to remake their films in kannada since there is no dubbing system in KFI.In the whole india, one can see the simultaneous release of movies with 6 languages,(KA,HI,TAM,TE,MAL,ENG)in the city bangalore only. so obviously there is a cat and mouse situation for theaters.so viewrs cannot be fooled easily.

It is nice that you appreciated a talented artist. But Why paint him as just a Kannadiga when he is getting a bigger award at National level.

Let us think big please.....

yeah true!
i myself being a kannadiga won't like this lingual bias whenever an actor picks up an award in another language!
all i would say is that kudos to this guy for being part of a national award wherever he has acted!
