This is a different concept and made with good intentions. For those who lament the state of Malayalam cinema today whenever a 'Love in Singapore' or an 'Alibhai' gets released, this is the change that you were waiting for. 10 short stories woven around a cafe and never a boring moment. The rediff reviewer has not done a great job, rediff...pls change the reviewer.
Mr.Paresh, u shud have avoided spilling out the crucial details of the stories. For the shorties Island Express, Happy journey, Makal and even Bridge you have spoiled the suspense involved, however minor it is. I request u to avoid spoilers in ur reviews. I am reminded of a review of Sethuramaiyer CBI in India Today. While mentioning Jagadish, it was written 'killer' inside brackets! Btw, Kerala Cafe is a quite different experience. Go for it...
Kudos to Ranjith and crew for making a film like Kerala Cafe with so many talented actors, directors and other technicians. Malayalam needs this kind of experimental films.

In other words - even Akshay kumar and Salman can act in movies thanks to bollywood :D
Congrats PCP on this review. U indeed write reasonable reviews which r well balanced; they help us immensely and goes a long way to call us back to the theatres! Good work, Paresh, keep it up
"Indeed a Worthwatch of a classic ,which has Ten Directors,Ten Themes very much honest to its efforts, and the genre of each theme is a refreshing experience to the cinema lovers. Many versions of "kerala Cafe" symbolised the world cinema not a regional one.I have my own list of favourites in the film, but it wont be fair to name a few as the whole film has a honest and sincere effort.
To all as Mr.ranjith said in an interview this film will reply to all the people from regional areas ,who used to appreciate malayalam cinema for its olden days and its destruction" This film is an Simple reply .
