i have always wondered about the lopsidedness of the national mainstream media in their coverage (or the lack of it), of regional issues. be it events, incidents, features or in this case, cinema. i wouldn't have stumbled onto this lovely story of paresh mokashi the way i am forced to read about katrina kaif's latest gym routine. i am, as always, moved by stories such as paresh's, his labour of love and his clean straightforward answers. i sincerely hope paresh continues to pursue his craft driven by an immense sense of achievement that only well-meaning artists can experience. i am not a maharashtrian. but i do hope to see his movie someday on a dvd (or at a local theatre) with subtitles. i will see it for the story of dada saheb as much as for paresh's.

reading about paresh mokashi makes me wonder just how lopsided our national mainstream coverage of regional issues are. be it events, incidents, features or, in this case, cinema. i would have never stumbled onto this lovely story of paresh and his labour of love. i sincerely hope his endeavour has given him a sense of satisfaction. i am not a maharashtrian, but i hope to see this movie in a dvd (or at a nearby theatre), with english subtitles.
Indian Filmdom is substandard and infested by nepotism and mafiosi with all bad money in the present days. Grand Assembly of Substandard People have made it stinking.
