A bad reviewer maketh not a bad film!

I can understand two points of view on a film but this review sounds like someone getting really personal for no rhyme or reason, or maybe there is a reason ;-) didn't get "bhav" from the director/producer, is it?

I'm a film buff, pick a movie every friday - so went and saw Acid Factory this morning and I bloody loved it. I'll repeat that - I BLOODY LOVED IT! Some clapping at the end tells me so did the other 50 odd people in the theatre (mind you.. this is at 8 AM in the morning and there were 50 people!).

Indian movies are finally coming of age in these past 5 years with new directors breaking new ground. Our critics need to grow up as well - you can't just keep sucking up to the SRKs and Yashraj types of the world, no matter what crap they dish out.

I don't care if it's copied from some Columbian film - some guy's bringing us good cinema, what're we getting so uppity about???
The fact is Columbian cinema isn't very popular in this country, and just because you googled it, it doesn't make you a connoisseur either - don't make me laugh.

What's really disappointing is the quality of people reviewing movies for Rediff these days. Where art thou, Raja Sen? Good cinema is missing critics like you. Isn't Chandrima Pal the same loser who used to review stuff for one of the tabloids (Mirror??) before she was thrown out in a coupla weeks? Anyone remember???

ACID FACTORY - Worth a watch
by Dev Dewan on Oct 09, 2009 03:39 PM

What a relief, was sick of all the stupid movies, the ‘NOT WAKING UP STORIES OF LOSERS’, and ‘TRYING TO BE FUNNY MOVIES’. We need more of these movies, finally got to see a good thriller after a long time :)
