Usually new directors' first movies are the only movies which are watchable as they pour in all their efforts and imagination in making it. It seems most of them run out of gas & substance which make their second film a dud. Hope chimbu does not fit in this and would deliver a entertainer as good as 23rd pulikesi...

I like this director, Infact I personally liked Arai Yen (his 2nd film) very much. Simple narration, neat screenplay and subtle humor seems to be his forte.I hope his brand of cinema does not get washed away by stary masala movies

First film itself Sibudevan proved that he didn't have anything new to say - he already ran out of gas & substance as the first film itself was not original, a remake of Uththamaputhiran etc. Because of the richness, the film ran well. Second film proved what worth Simbuthevan means. I don't think Simbuthevan will ever be successful as his first film was. Anyway all the best to him.
