look at the right side of ur page.it says sponsor a chid.imagine how may kids would have made a difference to our country and society had the amount (even partially) reached them.
Why these ad makers/marketing team should always rely on star power? Why can't they use creativity? All this money can be spent efficiently in ad making, instead of pumping crores of money on these dumb actors. Vodafone used their creativity in recent ads(remember that animation) and succeeded as well.
Creative capitalism seems to be a good idea. But how many capitalists follow that. Rich getting richer pattern can be changed by implementing this creative capitalism. Creative capitalism will pay way for "Social Wealth" and not just "Wealth" getting accumulated at one place.
I am not against the Bachan family. Why can't these ad makers spent this money in creativity and thereby encourage creativity and jobs in parallel. People always appreciate creativity (eg:Vodafone ad was successful) but then these kind of Lux ads(just relying on Star power) play spoil sport and tamper the minds of people.

excellent observation friend.but when you look at the indian market,i personally feel that people relate to stars when they endorse a brand.and so companys are forced to use these dumb stars for ideotic adverts.trust me,it wont be surprising to learn that a common man can give a better advise for an ad rather than prahlad kakkar.makes me believe strongly in destiny.hope the industry and countrymen get out of this star power.

It is purely demand and supply. We indians are sadly hero worshipping. We do not see or value the ads, if this were done by some x guy. That is what causes stars to demand more. So unless we change our mindset, we cannot stop stars to demand more.
