In kerala, more than the aesthetics, the emotional part is considered. You would hardly find malayalam movies having songs shot in different countries and bringing in 100 actors for a song. More than all that, essence is considered in the movie. And if the malayalam film industry was that bad, the bollywood producers would not be remaking the movies. Malayalam movies try to connect to the heart rather than the eyes and may be thats why people like you who watch movies to have a visual treat dont like such movies. You would rather prefer movies with two scenes shot in new york, three in london, and four in switzerland, with no logical connection in between the scenes though filled with great looking young actors and actress with larger than life images. That may be entertainment for you but not for the more crowds in kerala. The bollywood producers cant even remake the movies they copy from south or the hollywood properly and you find them great. And some great works like the wednesday, mumbai meri jaan, Khosla ka ghosla, never make it as box office hits. When will you start appreciating sensible movies and stop going after visual treats? Wake up, and rather, Grow up. Learn to appreciate quality and please stop nagging. Live and let live.
Sir with all due respect i do see your point of view. you had said "Look at the guy. I don't understand from which angle he is looking as Hero. He is looking as the uncle of the girl.
What a funny man" Hero is a term invented by bollywood, and a hero doesnt need to look good. its the deeds he does that makes him a hero. The army jawans or the father of the nation who were no super models are still heroes. So we should better refer to the person as an actor. Yes, he is indeed a funny man. He has done a lot of comedy movies had shown that he can be funny. Now about the age factor. Just looking at the picture you cant say that the actress is being paired with him. Let me inform you some instnaces where the bollywood actors or those whom you refer to as heroes dont act their age. Take for instance aamir khan doing three idiots. A fourty plus actor is doing a college student role. Then there was sharukh khan in OSO and Rab ney bana di jodi. These actresses are less than half his age. Then there is sanjay dutt in Lage raho munna bhai, with vidhya balan. If you can accept all these actors then whats wrong is letting this gentleman act? And now that you have brought forward the age issue, didnt you bear cheeni kam and nishabd in which amitabh bachan was paired with very young actresses. If you can bear all this then why cant you let this man alone who is not troubling you and living peacefully in his own small territory.
He is a big fat ugly pig from Kerala. That girl appears to be his daughter. Man what is the name of this movie. Beauty and the Beast. From this scene i can only imagine that it is a father who is gifting his daughter a motorcycle. If yes then it is sensible movie. If this crap is casted opposite this girl then i think the producers are waisting their money.

may be he is actually acting as the uncle of this girl, in this movie. How do u know? btw, why are u comparing with Nasruddin. What about SRK, AB. Dont they look like uncles to heroines like Deepika and Dabu respectively?

Cos u dont understand malayalam. Six packs, action & dance doesnt matter there. Quality acting does. Why do you like Paresh Rawal & Naseerudin Shah? I hope you got the answer.

But actors like Paresh Rawal and Naseerudin never act as Hero with the girls abt half of their age. They always perform character role. Thats why I like them. Not like fat old MohanLal and this funny man.
Jayaram has always reaped success with most of Sathyan Anthikkad films. His films with Rajasenan also were enjoyed by the family audiences. Unfortunately Rajasenan is running out of ideas and his recent ones bombed at the box office.
