Watched it yesterday in a Belgian movie hall and well, all I've to say is it's better than Da Vinci Code (the movie, not novel) but nothing compared to the book! The movie was fast paced in the beginning but the serious alterations in the story (for those who've read the book, you'd know what I'm talking about) annoyed me. The book kept my biting my nails but the movie failed to do so for long. In the middle, it's interesting but the end was so long drawn. The beauty of the thoroughness with which Dan Brown built the case for the four chapels with the signs of the elements was completely lost in the movie! The best part of the movie (it breaks my heart, being a Tom Hanks fan ever since his Forrest Gump days) was Evan McGregor, honestly! He looks convincing! Tom Hans is better in the movie (he seemed to be sleepwalking in Da Vinci Code). The heroine was also much better than the Sophie chick in Da Vinci Code (who had a horrible French accent). Overall, I'd give it 3 stars, maybe. At least, I was awake throughout the movie (Da Vinci Code was a lullaby compared to this one!)....
For those who haven't read the book, the movie would be ok. The book won hands down compared to the movie......
Thank God I saw it here in the US. Iam sure it would be banned in India. Its the most gripping and intense movie I have seen in the recent times. All though Dan Brown went little over board with the anti-matter theory which is yet to see the day light. The way he went through the murky secret societies and the catholic church is intresting.

for dim witted idiotts :: MUMBAI: The Christian community's protest against the film Angels & Demons in India is reaching its final stage. India's Censor Board Screening Committe has seen the film and have issued NO Certificate, in view of the contents of the movie. They have now referred the film to a Revising Committee and as urged upon, by the Christian Secular Forum (CSF), the chairperson, Smt. Sharmila Tagore will also be present.
