Why the hell do we need to keep track of how much it earned in the US.. we are not getting these movies in India, because of the stupid producers and distributors strike. release these movies here and then post how much it got here.

shah rukh's sheer dumbness would be enough for the enemy bots, who would simply die of an AI malfunction!

What the article is trying to say is that Angels & Demons beat both Terminator and Night.. in box office collections outside North America.
What? This movie has made, up till now, $56m, so shut up. And Angels and Demons isn't beating it, Night at the Museum is. Guys, be quiet. Just, shut up.
rediff mostly copy articles from foreign media but can you people not use some brains while copying... which american paper reported demons grossing $60 mil over the weekend...variety did not... or reiff thinks their readers are mostly idiots like their columnist from india who will not know the difference...
I think people have a misconception that an actor is in complete control over how his character is portrayed. This is not true. A directors job is to direct the actors in the way that he envisions how the characters behaves. If you read interviews with McG he said that his goal was to make John Connor intense and strong. Bale certainly played it that way. So if you have any issues with how Connor was portrayed in this film then you need to point the blame at the director and perhaps even the screenwriters for not giving him enough to work with. I think Christian Bale did the very best with what he had. It's not his fault that writers wrote Marcus to be more interesting. Same thing with The Dark Knight. I'm not sure why they decided to focus so much on Marcus. He really is a sub plot in the grander scheme of things. The real story is John Connor and his destiny to wage war against the machines. They should have paid more attention to John. All those moments they gave to make Marcus relatable and they make no room for John. If we could have at least had a scene where he talks about his wife's pregnancy and his fears of bringing a child into this world. Moments like that would have made the audience connect more with him. Not many people can relate to some who destined to fight Skynet but everyone can relate to a man trying to protect his loved ones and their future. Otherwise though I thought Salvation was great. Much better then the critics give it credit for.

I do agree with you that the character of John Connor should have been given more importance. But i do not agree when you say that Marcus is just a sub plot in this movie. Although Marcus is a machine with human heart, in the end he decides to fight for the humans instead of against them. It is only through Marcus that humans get the technical knowledge of making Terminator which would protect them instead if killing them. I read somewhere that there are two more Terminator movies that are planned with Bale in the lead. I am sure in the next parts Bale's character will get lot more importance.

Dude...not in the near future for sure... The best option would be to wait for a decent dvdrip to come along and download the stuff...
