I'm stunned at the attitude people all over the world have towards homosexuality. Just went through some of the comments here and am appalled at the general mindset.
At the same time, it's not surprising Lambert lost to the other gentleman, given society's fear-penetrated inability to go beyond the barriers of convention.
It's not just America, pick any country and one will find a nation unwilling to go against social norms.
America's not voting for a change will probably work in Adam's favour, for everytime Kris' name crops up or one his videos is played across music channels, people are going to nod in dismay, imagining how much more Adam Lambert could've generated.
Here's to Glambert, make he create several hit singles!
I have been a huge fan of American Idol. I always believed that here is a stage where Talent always counts above everything. And America never gets it wrong.
But its was a shocking result night.They did not show the reaction of judges after the announcement of result. They would have been shocked too.
Every American who voted against Adam just because of his sexuality should be ashamed of himself/herself.
Nothing to take of from the talented Kris, but Adam deserved to win 1000%. Mark my words, he will be Iconic. A Rock God, as Keara had said.

i am equally shocked man...huge fan of the show n huge lambert fan.kris is gr8 too,but the 'rock god' is n will be the 'rock god'. n ya,i agree 100% that america never gets it wrong like here in india.the only other time would be taylor hicks winning.n this season has been marred by a series of terrible results.to top it all,here comes the biggest shock on AI ever in the finale with adam losing...jus' shows pure talent can win nowhere these days. all the same,congrats kris!!i think u'll do gr8 in country music. but,adam rocks!!
