why does it leave us tired and with a sure-shot headache, afer watching for some time. The real reason is the extremely poor quality of ads that keep repeating far too often. The real culprits are the MTV style ads that guar-antee a sure headache to the viewers. While the macabre sounds can be squelched with MUTE, the scenes on the screen can not be, unless one keeps switching channels. Why don't we start with a public rating of the ads, so that the most nauseating ads are forcibly removed based on public rating. Gone are the days of subtle ads where in a restaurant, a middle aged man cosies up to a woman on the next table only to be mistaken for a waiter and she orders, "One coffee please, without sugar !" Right now an engine oil meant for lorry drivers beams at peak time and right in the midst of a western dance show, Lord Rama or Laxman pops up imploring us to see their Ramayana show !!! The whole thing looks so incongruent.
She gave an excellent performance in SnG. She also mentioned if it were remade like Sholay, then she would have been upset, but Seeta and Geeta have already been remade in form of Chalbaaz. Both had same theme with the leading heroine of that era one having father Dharam and the other his son Sunny. So does she mean she was upset with Chalbaaz?
