How did you get the concept?
Writer Aditya Bhatt developed the concept and approached us. We liked it and took it forward to the channel. We and a few other people were working on the marriage concept for a while so when we heard about this concept, we grabbed it.
Is the show similar to the international show, The Bachelorette?
Yes. It's similar but not a copy of that. You can say it's inspired from different shows. This is not the first time that we are having a matrimony show on Indian television. A few years ago, we had the Madhuri Dixit [Images] show called Kahin Naa Kahin Koi Hain, in which commoners chose their partner on television. But this show is different because here, we are looking out for a bridegroom for a celebrity. The celebrity has a wide choice to pick her ideal groom.
I have a very pertinent question; any guy who has applied for the show, does he need to give an undertaking that he will definitely marry Rakhi if she choses him. If Rakhi can all these men through character/personality test, the guy also should be given the option to back out at any point of the show. The way she is going to judge them, the guy also should be able to judge her; No one can say he knows rakhi as he has seen only her TV persona; Once he meets her he may get to know her better who knows; I think this show is really one sided.

If her h y m e n is slpit then she is no longer virgin!! h y m e n may also split bcoz of other acitivies like sports,jumps etc etc. It is really doubtful that speacially TV Shows,Theatare,and Bollywood personalities specailly girls are virgin. No gurantee!!!
are men fool ? who is going to mary rakhi. rakhi has been disowned by her father.This is another publicity stunt. she will not marry.Instead guys should look for a girl who from good family and high moral status. Guys do you want to marry a girl who shows her body on screen , who talks nonsense on channels , one who kissed mikka for publicity. guys if u marry rakhi ur life will be hell and yours neighbours and friends will laugh at u if u marry this stupid girl. pls boycott this lady and this

You moronbetter keep urmouthshut!! Sunil is rite!!! We need girls with high moral values and not like controversial Rakhi. We r not film personalities to do so. We r common men and we want common women and not an different one.

Absolutely!!!! Spot on! Ritely said. Why to hit ire on own's leg!! We don't need girls with low moral values,controversial,exposive,low charecter girls. Our parents will never accept such girls. Those guys who r supporting her then they particpate in this swayamwar then only we can say they are "men". They should do it by action and not just by barking on this forum. Otherwise u guyz are nothing a bigpimp.
