I found them to be the best. remember we have had senior stars like Mala Sinha portray mother in Babu and Nutan has also portrayed mother and so as Jaya Prada in Sanjog and Meena Kumari and others have done mom roles. But as for those stars who never became leadind stars Nirupa Roy excelled in many films and Farida Jalal is like a cuddly teady bear. Kirron Kher is the new modern mother. Now listen to Nirupa sing for Ashok Kumar a song in a Black and White film - Mera Chota Sa Dekho Yeh Sansar Hai - a nice Lata melody or the song Muskurao Ke Jee Nahin Lagta Paas Aao Ke Jee Nahin Lagta also Lata sang for Nirupa Roy and what a beautiful song.
