ya people know him all over india and in foreign countries because of serials, where his character was appreciated. where as surya, people know him only in south india.

Ofcourse some intelligent people in North India who watch sensible movies know Surya too. However it was unfortunate for surya.
There is nothing wrong in it. Now why rediff is creating a big buzz about it.
Lets see how the AYAN movie fares in the Boxoffice?

Everybody in this world who are familiar with south movies know surya..where ass only some aunties and jobless ppl who watch serial knows this guy.

Thats not completely true, yes not all people in north india would know Suriya, in spite of him shooting in Delhi and Kashmir, but all those who have seen Gajani, know that Suriya was the original hero and Aamir was inspired to remake this movie after having watched the original. I am a north indian and I know for a fact that Suirya is one of the finnest actors in not just south india but the whole of india. cheers
