While our indian movie directors have not been inspired by varied range of genres and movie themes that are made in hollywood, they certainly seem inspired by the 'gay' factor there and having picked up the worst, they seem to be overdoing it. Movies like Dostana and Straight are utter rubbish and demonstrate a deterioration of mental health of certain directors.

It is very obnoxious to make a judgment like this film is utter rubbish and deterioration of mental health without even watching the film, which I am sure you haven't Mr. Tiwari, it's an absolute insult to all the people that have taken the time and effort to make the film and above all an insult to your intelligence, for being an utter fool to make such sweeping statements without even watching the damn thing! And for all your moaning about the film being crap, when was the last time you, your friend and all your family spent the time and the money to watch a good film in the last six months, repeatedly?! The film is a comedy meant to produce a few good laughs after a long day, enjoy it for what it is and view it in the right context, don't over analyze. Doesn't make you any less smart to watch a light hearted escapist caper.

Yes, Ashutosh, Hollywood has well got over gay gags and has moved over to bloody violent action movies and its heroes while Bollywood is toying with this idea for long just to appease a minuscule section of the audience. When will these kind of film makers wake up to realize that fact. Didn't the super success of Ghajini drill something into their heads?

Shouldn't you watch the film first Mr. Tiwari before you can make a verdict like utter rubbish and deterioration of mental health! People bitch and cry and moan about the lack of quality of cinema and when someone makes a good film no one watches it!
Straight is not a bad film, it has a good heart and there are moments that please the janta time and again. At the end of a really bad day, when one is looking for a few, good laughs there is nothing like watching better than to watch a film like straight, a likable story, a good heart a fairy telling ending and a great laughs!
