This critic doesnt know ABC of giving a review...he thinks a critic is one who has to criticise..critic means one who critically appreciates..i saw this movie and loved it...Dsilva must be from Goa he just doesnt seem to relate to the delhi lajpat nagar way of life which forms the backdrop of the mvie ' aloo chaat' Best part of the movie is Sanjay Mishra..he is simply tooo good

Why is the background of relationship needed????????
by ashish sharma on Mar 20, 2009 05:25 PM  | Hide replies

Hats of to these critics..

The main plot of the movie is how the couple in question marry. Then why the hell is the background necessary? I mean then you may ask to see how their parents got married, or how the lovebirds came to the same city.....

Every story starts at some point, and the writer wants to tell the story from this point. Review of the film is not about what the story should have been. It is about how gripping a story is, and how well the director and the actors have potrayed it.

Get some lessons Mr. Elvis D'Silva. Or we may be reading pretty soon "Elvis has been kicked out of the building (read "job")"

hey i think thats a fair point. there is really no need to know how the couple fell in love..the point that this story begins from is when they are in love and want to get married with their parents' consent. there is no point in dwelling in the whys of their relationship.

Elvis is another RAJA SEN in-making
by lenovo on Mar 20, 2009 04:45 PM  | Hide replies

I think this guy ELVIS D'Silva is another RAJA SEN in-making.I mean just look at the vocabulary he has used.Although not as heavy weight as that used by RAJA Sen but equally irritating and not easy to understand ,at least by NON-OXFORD scholars like me....LOL....
So Mr.D'Silva, have a style of your own and stop trying to immitate that idiot RAJA Sen and for heavan's sake, please tell me what does "lackadaisical" and "shtick" mean?
