Gypsy or no Gypsy, his statue is not required in india.
The argument is that Charlie Chaplin was the greatest artist ever on silent movies,this may be correct for USA.
But for India it is not we had silent movies as well and hero's of silent movies era.
The lead role player of Raja Harish Chander a silent movie D.D. Dabke and P.G. Sane(who was in the lead role is not known).(Only the first and last reel of the movie survives today.)
The first full-length Indian feature film, yes it is Raja Harishchandra. It is a 1913 silent Indian film directed by Dadasaheb Phalke, based on the legend of Harishchandra, recounted in Ramayana and Mahabharata. Phalke was greatly influenced by the style of painter Raja Ravi Verma in the making of this film.
There fore either we erect the statue of the first actor or Dadasaheb Phalke the person who brought cinema to India.
I AM AGAINST CHARLIE CHAPLIN.
HE CAN STAY IN USA.WE ALREADY HAVE ENOUGH OF USA.

A statue of Lord Hanuman was pulled down from the beaches of Kanyakumari few months back and the whole secular world are silent. Why do we need a foreigner's statue in India? What is the purpose?

An interesting piece of information that many of us would not be aware of is that Charlie Chaplin's mother was half-Gypsy and historical research have traced all Gypsies to India (from Punjab). That would make Charlie Chaplin 1/4th Indian!!

All Cinema Theaters in Andhra Pradesh are HELD by 4 heroes.

* Balakrishna (NTR's son)
* Chiranjeevi (Aravind's brother-in-law)
* Nagarjuna (ANR's son)
* Venkatesh (Ramanaidu"s son)

All other film producers must SEEK permission from above heroes to SHOW their movies in theaters.

We will soon leave everything and go back to our basics so that we can stick onto our culture or rather the lack of it.
