I am not against him. I love his music, i respect him but I do not know how people are judging him. Only friends and his team mates know better than anybody. In 10 minutes you cannot judge him. you know about your parents and family. do you know anything abt others. it is very hard. the way they show it up outside world is different.
I was somewhat disappointed when A.R Rehman did not acknowledge the legendary singer Asha Bhosle in his acceptance speech who had just presented him with the award. Like it or not both Lata and Asha have been in the world of Bollywood more than any other individuals. And when one gets presented an award by either of them a thank you is courteous. Having said that I am happy for Rehman to have won not only the Oscars but now the Filmfare Award. Before presenting the award Ashaji sang one line of a song from the movie Rangeela and then sang a line Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Naa. And wow. She still has that magic. Her voice is still intact and melodious. It is a shame that we do not hear her voice any more in films. I think she keeps busy with her stage shows which probably brings in a lot more money than playback singing. And then she also does those non filmi albums every year. But it would be nice to hear her voice even just one song in a movie. I think that she did sing a song in 2008 for the movie 1920- Jiya Jalta Hai but it was not the best offered to her. The last time she sang for Rehman was a duet with Udit - Radha Kaise Na Jale and that was a big hit. It became very popular.

Never use the word suck when it comes to India's Bharat Ratna lataji and Padma Vibhusan Ashaji. You may have deaf ears or never heard hundreds or thousands of their songs to appreciate the command they had on the high and low notes in the rendition of many songs. I can give you many examples. But that would do no good. Because you would not listen to their songs anyways as it seems you can't appreciate the best.
I met A.R Rahman in dubai airport; he was very reciprocative even though i was bothering him when he was his son shopping. Very nice person. All the Best to him for his future endevours
ARR is a down to earth, great person and of a very rare kind like a gem. Something goes into everyone's head after little bit of achievement, but he has none.
To: Mr. Kapil, A.R. Rahman is not at all a copy- master but he is a real master with originality.I gave him those Cassettes only because, that Arabic singer ( Fairouz Rahbani )is one of my most favourite singers. She is a legend in music of Arab world, say like Om Kulsum.Regards, Patwardhan.
AR Rahman is a phenomenon. He still has a lot to achieve, in his own words he said Oscars could be the beginning. Maybe he meant more Hollywood projects .
