How much a luck can favour a person is what FREIDA PINTO a example of.She is just too lucky that SLUMDOG MILLIONER happened to her.Now tell me what special thing she did in this film,the credit of this film goes to DANNY BOYLE,THHE GREAT A.R.REHMAN AND OF COURSE THE EDITING TEAM ,she was just a dark horse around who did what director told her to do and didnt even look that good. Another biggest stroke of luck she has is she got WOODY ALLEN film for $3m is she worth it? i feel she is not even worth 100 dollar,how did she get this film?there are so many beautiful and talented faces around.So you see here AS OLD HINDI SAYING GOES'ALLAH MEHERBAN TO GADHA PEHELWAN' surely she migth have done some good KARMAS IN HER LAST BIRTH. So madame MAKE HAY WHILE THE SUNSHINES

Luck?? Have you seen how some of the most fabulous actors in Hollywood began their careers. Have you watched tom cruise play 3 minute roles and go on to win a golden globe, kate winslet to begin her career as a fat cow with pimples to become a star with titanic, bruce willis to be a side character in most films before becoming a star, Jennifer Aniston to just stand at the back and then become at overnight star with F.R.I.E.N.D.S! the list just goes on...You don`t need a great part to get noticed. Getting noticed somewhere is enough. She played her role accordingly and was nominated for a Bafta for best supporting actress alongside Amy Adams and Kate Winslet. If thats not enough to get a Woody Allen film..i don`t know what is!I have seen so many people talking bullshit about frieda and Slumdog M without having any clue about how hollywood works and who Frank Capra, Loretta young, Ingrid bergman, Katherine Hepburn are. Some comments that I get to read are plain stupid and shows just ignorant some people can be. I don`t know who you guys even consider as a good actress or if you guys even know what it means. If you think she is palin then what do you guys think about other oscar winners like Meryl streep and whoopi goldberg, Sally field etc.. these were worse than plain but by far some of the best actresses. Freida is getting 3 million and more from other upcoming big projects. Being a Bafta nominee with good looks gives her a chance to be choosy.
The gal is sure going places; fact I like about her is that she is a girl next door..with no starry nakhra (as the incidents, I have been reading in the print). I hope she gets meaningful roles in the years to come and makes more money.

so u r talking about "no starry nakhras" sucsess she dosent even deserve credit for has gone so much in her head that SHE DUMPED HER STEADY BOY FRIEND WHO LOVED HER SO MUCH THE MOMENT SLUMDOG BECAME A HUGE HIT.Isnt that utter cheap act. If she goes on getting good films which she is getting (A WOODY ALLEN FILM WHERE SHE IS REPORTEDLY GETTING $3M)she will think she is gerater star than 'THE GREAT AISHWARYA RAI"

She didn't have a role worth mentioning in Scumdog but the lady sure has it in her to go places. Wish her success. Cheers~
She was hardly there in the movie..Lets c wats there for her in the future..She stil have to prove that she can act..15- 20 min of act cannot judge ur skills.

It is sheeeeer luck and only luck my fren.Otherwise tell me her contribution to the film was nearly a zeeeeeeero with shit acting and even more worst dancing abilities she still managed to rake in WOODY ALLEN FILM AND THAT TOO FOR $3M. 'BHAGWAN DETA HAI TO CHAPPAR PHAD KE DETA HAI'

Which US are you living in?? The meaning of the word diva is Goddess! If you are familiar with the fashion and the glamour industry at all...you would have known the meaning. It is you with your bad English who fails to fathom it. Many Indians are not without Substance it is YOU who seems to lack substance! Gwyneth is an oscar winner is highly glamourous and a style icon for many girls and I hope Freida surpasses everyone.

What's a diva girl? It has a very cheap meaning here in US. I don't like my Indians to end that way. BTW, what is special about Gwyneth Palthrow? These content writers only know how to create hype with lot of loud talking. I wonder why many Indians are like this - talk loud but very less substance/action! Remember hype created for Ash and Kareena? Both fell flat.
