what about the lyrics of aarambh?...if u'd got the lyrics u wouldn't hav said this...
most indians won't appreciate this...all they like is songs ladden with the same bunch of words...pyaar, mohabbat, sajan, dil, dhadkan...etc...jumble these words & u get a "popular" song...

dude you are right...we likes song which having pyar, intezar, zindagi, deewangi, apna, tumhara etc.
Only few writers are able to write good peotry like gulzar, javed akhtar, prasoon and piyush mishra
the two of the best music albums of the past many years "dev d" and 'gulaal' have both come from kashyap movies. this shows how much our regular superhit directors are afraid of trying something different even with music.
the music of gulaal is incredible and the lyrics probably the best ever used in a hindi movie. 'arambh hai prachand' is the best song in years. lyrics are filled with veer ras and one can feel the blood rushing faster in veins.
'sheher' is so tragic that you can smell blood in the song. it is one of very few songs to have captured the pain of massacres, wars and riots.
