The book did not denigrate india and su*k up to the white mans stereotypes and prejudice on India. Why then would it creat a buzz. The main protagonist in the book has a secular name and there is no depiction of gratutious violence so why would the brainwashed liberals pay any attention? Follow this simple rule in understanding the "awards"/buzz psyche - if there is no opportunity to beat down the hindus, there is no award, period.
