Why not just give maid some money and close the matter?
by american brahmin on Jun 30, 2009 03:56 AM  | Hide replies

The maid will be more than happy to take money like 30 lacs or so. She could not have imgained to earn this amount of money. What is the big deal, a piece of flesh entered her body.

I agree with Punam.
Why blame the victim.

Yet, taking into the account the current corrupt system in India, it is more than likely that Shiney Ahuja will get away with rape. This has happened before, people have gotten away with murder - and will keep on happening...this is Kalyug - where evil will continue to triumph over good.

There are reports that the victim and her family are being pressurized to withdraw the complaint, and she is being painted as a 'trouble-maker'.

No I would not have said the same thing. But, who knows the maid may change once hearing 30 lacs. What is she going to get id Shiny gets convicted for 7 years? Nothing. With money she can change her life, in stead of living in shanties where she would be raped anyway.

Its more important here that the rapist gets punished, coz u never know who he will rape the next time !! Its very easy to say that she cud take money and live happily. Have u been robbed on the street anytime ? i have been, And that act itself leaves u so hurt and insulted. An act of rape is 100 times painful than that.

DNA test confirms that sexual intercourse took place between the actor and his maid, it does not confirm that he raped her. They need more evidence for that, so hold your horses!

its clearly mentioned in the aeticle that the maid has suffered injuries to her private parts which shows that there wasnt consentual sex between the two. whatever the caswe, its very sad that a fine actor would even attempt such a dastardly act

Ooooh! DNA!

In OJ Simpson's case, DNA stood for "Did Not Attack"

I would not trust DNA evidence- Indian police being crooks, they can DNA/ RNA, cocaine, anything... for money, power.
