A homage to Michael Jackson.
by BishwaNath Singh on Jun 27, 2009 09:17 AM

The musical world without Michael Jackson seems to be void now as he was not only the king of Pop songs & the greatest entertainer of the world rather icon for all new entrants who had a dream to be like him in their Pop Singing lives & careers.Let us join billions to pay our humble tributes to him as a gentleman-at-all times and the greatest son of our universe who may not be replaced by any one in another few centuries!Let us join billions also to pray to the Almighty God to grant peace to his departed soul in heavenly abode and give courage to his bereaved family & all his friends,well-wishers & fans to bear this unrepairable loss caused by his passing away!

How Mallika drew inspiration from MJ secretly
by Khullam Khullah on Jun 26, 2009 10:14 PM  | Hide replies

He was a lunatic, substance-abuser (overdose of prescriptive drugs), low self-esteem sufferer (hence the skin dyeing to white), eccentric (holding/grabbing his own crotch). But in music terms, make no mistake -- he was a genius. Add to that his dancing ability. That made him a star performer. Clever businessman too. But, ultimately, was he a good human being? Debatable. But people will remember his music and dancing achivements which will remain unsurpassed forever. He is not a good role model though. He could not handle fame, money and success with equanimity, and loved to project himself as larger than life (remember making a big fuss of pissing in Bal Thackeray's loo in Mumbai). If only he confined himself to singing and dancing....But then, there is this great paradox in everything in Universe. MJ is no stranger to this paradox. Genius yes, but flawed, like every other genius.

How should personal life of genius matter to anyone. This is simple problem of being in information age dude where every action of icons are scrutinized by media, I am sure if mahatma gandhi was born in this age, he would not have been a good icon either. RIP MJ.
