I am always a believer that 90s was an era when keeping away some handful songs rest all were a work of poor art. No sensible music no lyrics and even Kumar Sanu was one of the singers party to it. Kumar Sanu believes that the industry today has no music its only people who shout, but today the music is much more sensible, technical, lyrical. From his fav music director who made oonchi hai building tyoe songs we have moved to an era of music that gives us albums like Aashiqui2, Barfi, Ek villain as a few to mention.
The truth here is that Kumar Sanu is not capable of competing the singers in Bollywood today, today people have started considering entertainment as a field of profession which was not the case in the 90s and hence Kumar Sanu did not have to face big competition to reach the pinnacle of his career. But today may be he can be pushed out even from the bottom of the pyramid. I think he is in a fantasy world of himself where Oriya Kannada Bhojpuri etc movies produce better music than the Bollywood. He should stay there and enjoy.
All The Best Kumar Sanu....!!! (I was and still am a fan of his melodies...but not only his greed, his fear for competition killed him in Bollywood)

you should respect the opinion of others. I agree that Kumar Sanu has ego problem but that is his personality. We listen to his songs because his songs are melodious. This is wrong to say that Kumar Sanu is not capable of competing the singers in Bollywood today. Listen to his song - "Dard Karara" of 2015. He does not get work, not because he is not talented but because he is very straight forward and people don't like it sometimes.
saying that all singers shout is absolutely wrong. But he is right in his other views like each human has one voice, melodious songs should have less musical effects etc His views cant be ignored because we cant even say that he is doing it for money as he was financially sound even before he became a star.
The culture in the films since around year 2000 got totally corrupted due to following of western culture, boy-girl friend culture and due to people like Bhatts etc. Coincidentally, this period also belonging to Khans era!!
As per this singer, there is nothing new. One Bengali praises another Bengali..and they pull-up their own groups. This exists in all fields like science etc. This kind of community favor is there in their jeans (also tamils and Keraliets).
Though some of his songs are hits and melodious,he had a bad nasal ting to his voice which came out in most of his songs. When he was knowingly imittating(or badly trying to)Kishore Da,now to say the same about JavedAli is a just a case of sour grapes. He would do very well if he takes of the bitterness in his words a add betterness to his works.Today and Tomorrow are anyways better for him.
look you is talking about better treatment of Music. Kumar sanu himself never did justice to the music.Whenever he sings it look like as if is is only blowing air from stomach. He is never a singer , he is just a imitator (nakalchi).

Kumar Sanu mentions and I quote " Indeed. I sang songs for Shah Rukh Khan (Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Chamatkaar), Amitabh Bachchan (Jaadugar, Major Saab, Insaaf, Suryavamsham), Rajesh Khanna (Khudai), Ajay Devgan (Phool Aur Kaante), Akshay Kumar (Khiladi), Atul Agnihotri (Sir) and Shahid Kapur (Ishq Vishq) during their beginning days. They became superstars because of my songs " . Is He mad to include Mr. Amitabh Bachchan & Mr. Rajesh Khanna's name in this list . Sorry Mr. Kumar Sanu you may be a good singer but you became star because you got opportunity to sing for Mr. Bacchan & Mr. Rajesh Khanna . Not the other Way round . I deeply oppose your this comment .
...never in the same league as Kishore, Rafi, Manna etc. And finally to claim that Amitabh and Rajesh became superstars because of his voice is stretching reality a bit too far (unless the interview has not been translated correctly).

you should respect the opinion of others. I agree that Kumar Sanu has ego problem but that is his personality. We listen to his songs because his songs are melodious. He has already suffered a lot because he is very straight forward and people don't like it sometimes but that is Kumar sanu with melodious voice but very straight forward.
