IIFA or ABFA
by Javed Siddiqui on Jun 15, 2009 02:33 PM  | Hide replies

I always thought as to why Abhishek Bacchan gets an award only in IIFA. Last year his film Guru never got an award anywhere .... but for IIFA where he was adjudged the Best Actor. I surely think that his acting was really commendable in Guru .... but justthe question why only did he win in IIFA and not anywhere else.

This year again ... he finds nomination in the best actor category and ends up taking the best comic actor role for Dostana.

Is it IIFA or ABFA (Amitabh Bachan Family Awards)???

Last year show was yuck with sick podium comedy done by Bomen-Ritesh Duo. And not that all .... it seemed as a family drama for the Amitabh Bacchan family.

Pls Pls .... we hate this.

Don't call it IIFA
by Democracy ForALL on Jun 15, 2009 01:21 PM  | Hide replies

Please no one call it as International Indian Film Awards, Instead call it as INTERNATIONAL HINDHI FILM AWARDS,
as we are not able to see a film other than a hindi film, whic is always a crap film or a copied from a hit film of other language.
I think Bengali, Malayalam ,Tamil and Marathi will do a better film than the over hyped and a crap Hindhi films

Anil, I don't know if you ever get a chance to read the consituency page. It says in India there are 28 official languages and nothing is considered as National language. There are lot of reasons to be called as official and not national. If this is broken then nothing to be called as Unity in Diversity. All individual states can run on their own. We all will be safe from the unrealistic Bollywood which has quantity and not quality

Tampering
by sachchidanand dhar on Jun 15, 2009 01:16 PM

Jodha-Akbar type of movies are tampering with history. It is dangerous precedent. It should not be allowed. Tomorrow some one could make a movie- for assumption sake- showing Indiar Gandhi's romance with Mohammed Ali Jinnah. All they would have to do is show a slide that "movie is not based on historical facts.Any resemblance to any person- living or dead- is coincindental."
Will sensor board permit release of such amovie? will that be acceptable to court and seculars?
