look i am not hard right but i am a indian nationalist, i saw slum dog an i swear i will never see a movie by danny boyle again ever. this movie depicts only the bad side of india nothing else not eve one good in a thousand bads.
Why wasnt slumdog not set in UK? Are there no slums in UK? Agreed the book was based in India. But yet, being a UK film maker he could have set the movie in UK.
Now even maximum city has slums, dancing girls etc, so he will be able to showcase slums, and shanty dancing joints etc. It is voyeurism for the west. For once, cant an Indian writer write a fantabulous fiction novel based in India, where they can show swanky corporate offices, modern cafe bars, ultra chic lab facilities and upper class Indians. No, I dont think so. There might not be any market for such films. Jackie Chan has done well to market shanghai and other cities of China to the west. And our own desi has shown chandni chowk. Bizarre!
"The tome delves into the interconnected worlds of Mumbai's slum-dwellers, dancing girls, underworld dons and hard-right Hindu radicals."
why boyale never shows Muslim extremists in his movies. it seems there is no Muslim radicals exist in Mumbai...this is sad....one should have views from both the sides....

What is there to show? The hero would look like Os-ama and the Heroine would be in a bur-kha :-)
