But it has been hyped up too much.......it is definitely not the best Irish rock band of all time...that honor goes to Thin Lizzy......If you listen to the music of Thin Lizzy, you will know why they are better than U2..........

bhasma...U2 is an iconic band....listen to their album Joshua tree first...best lyrics with melodious music...Bono is a great personality and U2 have tried to address political issues like civil rights movement in US, apartheid in SA etc all the time....don't compare them to some temporary band like thin lizzy and reduce their iconic status...
