This is going to be the best ever film in terms of Taking. All the credit should go to S S Rajamouli. Already the music is been a big success. And Ramcharan will rock with his dance. Kajal is looking very cute.

formula
by Niraj Prasad on Jul 29, 2009 11:06 AM  | Hide replies

let me add to what nikita said. some more formulas of telugu movies -

1. villains are almost always hindi speaking ... they hail from either mumbai or bihar. if they are from mumbai they will be muslim ... if from bihar they will be hindus.

2. they will always speak the first line of their scene in hindi .. usually it will be a one liner like - bhai kaam ho gaya ? OR baaki ka maal kaam hone ke baad mil jayega ... after they have put the antecedents of the villain in place, they will switch to speaking telugu ...

3. even if the main villain is a telugu speaker, he will will have hitmen from mumbai or bihar ... in this case the villain is supposed to be reformed. if a hindi speaker is the main villain, he will be a absolute badass and a real dumbo only meant to be killed as brutally as possible, which the hero will dutifully do.

4. the heroines will always be puzzled and confused. they may do some innanities but when hero comes she will fall for all his stupidities. and she will be dumb as dogshit, never knowing how to open a door too.

5. finally as nikita said, you cannot help but be amazed that no heroine is from AP ... seems AP men think their women are too precious to act in body showing flicks ... of course it is all well and good for hindi speakers ...

6. and finally one behaviour of telugu audience -- they have no respect for any of the actresses ... only men capture their attention and respect ...

Niraj,

I agree to some extent that you are true.
Regarding Heroines, Its everywhere in every film industry of the world. Dont just say its telugu. May be you started noticing things when you moved to Andhra.
Regarding Villians, I dont thinks its anything wrong. Even bollywood actors trying to show their urban look by speaking in English. I dont think its wrong as whole Nizam speaks hindi and it shows some variety as many from Hyderabad speak hindi.
Coming to Actors, yes telugu does borrow from Bollywood but remember bollywood has no exact location. It is unofficially based in mumbai but bollywood means entire india. There is nothing wrong in borrowing talent from bollywood to give more hype to the movie.

Look at the brighter side, Telugu film industry is second biggest film industry next to bollywood and it has its own share to prove indian film industry is number one industry in the world.

P.S. There are many you will find who give respect to women in Andhra. Looks like you are into wrong assumption. Maybe you need a explore yourself. Hope you found your reply you are waiting for.

Niraj,

About Heroines, Yes these day Telugu industry is borrowing from north. But I'm not a pro regarding that. But there are times when only south actresses used to act in telugu..

Sree, you got me totally wrong. I was not by any stretch of imagination trying to depict bollywood as superior and tollywood as inferior ... neither did i say that bollywood is a north speciality ...

i was merely pointing out the absurd stereotypes that tollywood caters to. in any case if most of the filmakers depict most of the hindi speakers as villains, many villagers will interpret this as most hindi speakers as villains ... i hope you understand the difference ... like in the past tamils were stereotyped by bollywood as jokers with a shaved head and strange manner of speaking ... it certainly made south indians as a joke in hindi speaking belt ... thank god that it has stopped ...

my question is more to the filmmakers who depict their villains as hindi speakers ... do they want to villify one entire section of population of india ... certainly they are not that vicious .. they simply want to emotionally charge up the audience by flattering them ... in a sense they are telling them .. see how you telugu guys are so nice chaps and others do not even begin to compare with you ...

but this way of flattering is a very negative way ... it ultimately demonises, denigrates and dehumanises some body else ... now you may say that things are not so serious ...

granted ... but when was the last time a hindi speaker was depicted as a normal person in telugu industry ?? if you ask the same question about bollywood, there are numerous cases when southies are not stereotyped

in that sense bollywood is becoming more and more inclusive and cosmopolitan .. it is not perfect but slowlu getting there ...

to be honest even this pace looks like too slow to me and i have very little patience with bollywoodish stuff either ... i am clatifying this just in case somebody accuses me of being a bollywood stooge ..

and finally the guys (prakash p and varma rohit) who think that by abusing my mum in public they have scored some victory ... then this does not tell me very appreciable things about the respect for women that telugu guys have ... i hope you are getting the point Sree ...

and again to clarify ... just coz os some bad apples i am certainly not prone to generelizing anything about telugu culture ... i have telugu friends and i know that guys like prakash p must be ignored ...

Conserve your energy for better things Mr. Niraj. Hope you got hit by watching some crappy Bollywood movies of late. Even the Telugu have stopped accepting the formula based commercial movies and that's the reason there weren't many mega movies being produced recently.

There have been many movies and movie makers in Telugu who have given and will continue to give meaningful cinema. Unfortunately you and the guys who influenced your thinking might not have seen them.

Lastly, cinema is an art form purely meant for entertainment and not test your brains. Stop being preachy.

May your soul rest in peace.

Watch it and then comment. Guys watch the movie and then dare to comment. If i need to write abt how carp bollywood is this forum will not be enough..

hi... nikitha.. do u watch telugu movies??? if you watch, u never speak like that.. I agree, only some stupid hero do what u said.. but not all movies...
We, telugu people are only 7 crore.. even though we are making excellent entertainment movies.. but you hindi people more than 60 crores and no single hit movie in a year..

Answer my question, Why all bollywood movies are NRI movies?.
If Bollywood doesn't like India, why should i like bollywood??

You are saying all herions from mumbai and delhi..
What about our Sridevi and Jayaprada?
Does any one look better than them?

If tollywood have platform like bollywood, definetly we would have reached Hollywood.
