Only Acting
by kumar kumar on May 31, 2010 12:15 PM

Let us understand that this is only showbiz, nothing we see on the screen is real. If a seventy year old guy can look 30 on the screen what is the problem if a 20 year old nymphet is cast againtst him. This is not real life where a 70 year old guy is romancing a 20 year old girl and we should see it with some objection and repulsiveness.

Biased

Earlier I used to think that other readers are being unfair on rediff when they said it was favoring SRK but now its true. there is no mention on him although he has been paired opposite deepika padukone and anushka sharma. even amitabh bachchan has been overlooked here as he starred opposite shilpa shetty and manisha koirala in lal badshah. Rediff is surely a biased site... esp in favor of SRK. Shame on you

Agree totally.'65 born SRK has over the last couple of years been teamed up with two young leading ladies--Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma, both in their early twenties. Why has this fact been brushed off? Ok, agree that SRK is playing a more mature charcter with Kajol(35 ish) in MNIK--apparently he plays dad to a teen--but rediff does seem to take care that SRK does not feature in this group of older male-younger female, jodis.

Age is not a barrier so long as actor can carry
by pradeep agarwal on Jul 29, 2009 04:27 PM

Actors are suppose to play different roles during their career. It is however important for producer to idetify the right talent for the role rather than image.Indian hero well into 40's till 70's were playing college boys.

He looks like an old wardrobe with polished exterior. It is a mysrtry that Shahrukh with virtually no acting talent has been compared by media with legends like Dilip & Amitabh.Indian media has sold its soul for petty gains.

Saif seems to be stuck at the age of 38 for very long now.He can move it slowly; but its got to move some.
Scared of admitting 40?

Saif was born on Aug 16th 1970. Shares b'day, though not year, with my husband. So Saif turns 39 in a couple of weeks. But technically he is still 38!

I find it hard to believe he is only 39! Maybe the "birthers" should get on his case.
