The producers are today the worst hit in film industry. Falling profits, tantrums of film stars, disputes with multiplex owners, complexity of liasions , piracy and what not, Therefore , producers use every gimmick to publicise their movies. Now, the Imtiaz's statement on Saif may or may not be true, but it certainly is a gimmick , apparently to please the intelligensia audience.
Saif is brought into industry by souceful parents , has irritating -unmanly looks, has much publicised notorious married/love life, can not shoulder a movie alone and needs a real Hero to make it hit. Despite this if the producer is praising him, it is all but gimmicks for making the new movie hit.

You are right,
These star sons only act in sterio type cast roles. These people cannot take challenge to immitate middle class Indian boys or real villegers roles.
These star sons only cast on some repeated proto-type roles only such as sanjay dutt and karina kapoor or shajid kapoor etc. their roles are never touching just timepass...

Why blaming only Saif. There are many who have done like this. Also you seemed to be feeling bad for Kareena. Even she also enjoyed with Shahid and then dumped him. There are many more which the we may not be aware of.

he knows only stories with which he started his career, abay deol and ayesha takia one same story in diff way JWM and now LAK same story diff treatment may be , but one thing is sure characters will be similar to jab we meets one .Saif should sto doing these kind of movies after omkara and should do new things.
