CHENNAI, OCTOBER 3

Her story had shades of the Christine Keeler affair that rocked Britain in the 60s and the sensational Pamela Bordes saga of the 80s. But the tale of demure-looking Sivakasi-born A Jayalakshmi (33), who shook the entire Tamil Nadu police top brass with her steamy revelations in August 2004, ended rather tamely today.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate in southern TN's Dindigul, sentenced Jayalakshmi to seven years' rigorous imprisonment for abetting the suicide of the wife of ASP Rajasekhar whom she (Jayalakshmi) `married' at a temple in 2001. Rajasekhar, suspended by the state government, received a a similar term for the same offence, Section 306 of IPC (abetment of suicide).

Prosecution' s case: The ASP's affair with Jayalakshmi led to ``great mental agony'' for his wife, Visalakshi, who killed herself in October 2001.

The lid blew off the Jayalakshmi affair last August when her father sent a telegram to the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court, claiming that his daughter was missing and that he suspected that some policemen had murdered her.

On August 9, Jayalakshmi, who was produced before the court, narrated a soul-stirring story of sexual exploitation and harassment by top police officers. Sh

She also sought court protection for her life.

But it was when she filed her 17-page affidavit, as directed by the Madurai Bench, that the court drama unfolded. In her affidavit, Jayalakshmi accused 21 men, most of them cops, including an SP, six inspectors and three SIs of sexually exploiting her for the last six to seven years.

Describing it as the steamiest sex scandal in the country in recent years, the local media followed Jayalakshmi, even camping outside her house through the night to take pictures of her day-to-day life.

The HC ordered a CBI probe into her charges and reports began trickling in that Jayalakshmi may not have been the ``victim'' after all. And that she was a ``manipulative' ' woman, who used cops to cheat people of huge sums of money.

A few months later, the CBI filed a report stating that her allegations were unfounded. The report said that she flaunted her association with policemen to extract money from victims. It also tur

Jayalakshmi, who is facing a few more cases of cheating, was married in 1993 and had two children before the couple got divorced. She then joined a multi-level marketing network and came in touch with influential businessmen and police offices—it's said that she has ``married'' three Inspectors and one DySP.

After being sentenced, Jayalakshmi and Rajasekhar were taken to the Central Prison at Tiruchirapalli. Jayalakshmi' s lawyer said he would appeal in a higher court.

Why the normal public not invited on this show!!!
by Raj rai on Jul 25, 2009 11:10 AM

Dus ka dum might be a show liked and viewed by lot of Indians. But If you go through all TV channels they just invite TV actors/Cine actors and absolutely nobody from the general public.Basically its all hog wash .
Only show I can remember was "Kaun Banega Karorpati" which did have participation from the general public.
Rest of the TV channels just put up all same painted faces, they should understand that public does not care and TRP of these shows goes down after 2 weeks because same faces are coming on all the channels.
Media needs a complete makeover. Our channels do copy the programmes from west but the result is all shit and garbage.

Isnt this guy the same scumbag who drove his car in an inebriated state and ran over several pedestrians? Doesnt that amount to being a criminal. I do not watch Bollywood movies and I have never watched a single movie in which he has acted. All I know about this guy is that he has killed people.
