yeah from those days like yjayanthi mala,wahida rehman,rekha,hema malini,sridevi,jaya prada all were in top because they all r realy beuatiful and good looking and good actress. no doubt.

i can understand abt sridevi & rekha. But all others can't be called as Top Heroines...Especially Sameera/Meghna and my dear Ash is from Mumbai (she may be a south indian by mother tongue)...Sameera & meghna can be on top of producers and fellow actors but not top heroines...Deepika has just started her career, Jayaprada could barely act though she is doing well as a poiltician, Hemamalini rode the tide bcause she was good looking she can barely be called as top actress bcoz bfor she could realise she was married with Paazi...In fact south indian heroes/heroines have never made it big in Hindi films....But the opposite is not true...Lot of flop Hindia actresses have made it very big in South be it Rima Sen/Even it took 7 years for Asin to crack the hindi film industry/Jenifer/Jenelia etc....Mamoothy/Rajnikant/Mohanlal have all treid their hand in bollywood but never successful....

Ash may be from Mumbai, but she is no great shakes in her acting. she is miserable in the love scenes, cut cut a sad scene, looks pathetic in a comedy scene. Yes she is beautiful and she can dance. Rest are all full stops.

mr raja bhaie mohan roy ... why dont u be specific ..most of ur heroes are from pakistan .. from the city of peshawar .. north indian is very generic .. No bloody north indian made it big in indian filim industry ..

All famous actres like Aishwarya rai, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika (Kannada), Vidya Balan (malayalam) are top actress in Hindi made debut in South Films.
