The scene after the rain song when clouds begin to disappear and some of the villagers rush towards them as if they would catch them and bring back to rains is heart touching. It depicts the dependency up on the rain water.
Gadar was a classic movie, but the pro-paki film industry refuses to acknowledge this great movie. It was the biggest hit when multiplexes were not there. Still it crossed over Rs 100 crore at that time in India only. Its not a small achievement.

Very Good Information Provide not break this record because 100 crore in single screen means 400 crore in multiplex and single screen. and not any movie made this record ghajani is 300 crore short 100 crore
In line with these movies, just pointing out to a kannada movie named 'Mungarina minchu' acted by Ramesh Aravind. Shot in the coorg and western ghats. Amazing movie shot in rains throughout the movie.
I don't how many of the respected readers/browsers have seen this malayalam movie by the late veteran P Padmarajan where rain plays an important character along with the protagonists Jayakrishnan (Mohanlal) & Clara (Sumalatha). The background music lifts the importance of rain in their lives in this movie.
