This is the same rediff which criticised this movie and called it a "sham" now praising the same movie ? see how success changes the viewpoint of people !
DO YOU KNOW THE LOW CLASS CRITIC LIKE RAJA SEN GET PAID BY THE BAD MOVIE MAKERS AND BUY A GOOD REVIEW. ITS ALL PART OF MARKETING EXPENSE OF MOVIE PRODUCERS OR EVEN HAVING A DEAL WITH THE CHANNELS OR NEWS PAPERS THAT IF HEY GIVE A GRT REVIEW ON THEIR MOVIE THEY WOULD GIVE X AMOUNT WITH OF ADVERTISEMENT REVENUE.

Rajasen doesnt know the meaning of being a Critics.. he is not at all open minded, he likes particular types of films, he gives 2/3 stars to the ghisi piti films ... but 1 star to something like NY.... he is weird.... I read his revies and just do opposite of what he recommends....

Is this another triangle love story like million other bollywood movies that came before? Two guys loves the same girl or guy and girl falls for the same guy... sick of those love stories...

no sir, its not a cliched type of love story etc...its a decent movie...if not a great movie...something pretty good after quite a lot of disgusting movies rather bland movies...not boring

Its a love story in in the 1st half, bt it does carry it over a little bit in the 2nd half. Bt overall, it shows only a small piece of muslims being targetted post 9/11, which ws supposed to be the main idea of the movie. Sadly the 1st half ws so boring i.e flashbacks, nd the 2nd half picked up pace bt came out as a routine thriller of innocent suspect gettin revenge against the cops.
The biggest flaw is its cast, the movie cud have done well alone without john abraham nd katrina, as neil mukesh nd irfan khan ar the main actors who gave gud performacnes. No offense, john abraham nd katrina really sucked as they wer confused on bringin their characters to life.
The script is so bad tht it didn't really give importance to muslims being detained, nor did it give a gud character graph fr john abaraham to portray such a character who has been stripped naked nd detained bt all the while he is innocent. Also john abraham did not have any kind of personality tht hinted being traumatized by the incident aftr he got out of jail, nor having hatred fr the FBI. Evn in the end, you don't feel sorry for him if he dies b.c thrs nothin really emotional abt him in the first place.
Sorry new york didn't come out as a good film nd tht ws to focus solely on muslims being mistreated, rather it jst b.came an ordinary story abt a innocent suspect taking revenge against the FBI. John abraham as usual is so boring nd he didn't do anything much, b.c neil nd irfan wer the ones tht really wer serious.
I live in US and went for this movie and felt total waste of time. Because of the hype, people went in on weekends and so the ticket sales $, otherwise I wonder if it would do any business in coming weeks. Plus I did not get who & what the story is aimed it. It seems too late for the subject. Imagine movie made with stars on the '93 Mumbai riots, would it be a hit or flop?

I show movie last night...Raja Sen is foolest guy on the earth and due to him rediff is spoiling it's image...if u know raja sen has given 4 or 5 star to "Om santo Om"...hopless....so i'm not reading reviews on rediff instead preferring Indiatimes....
