Just watched it y'day and noticed a "bug" in the moview . When Vijay Shekhawat ( Hurman) was hit by a Brett Lee delivery, the man at runner's end was supposed to be Pravin Kumar.When the physio came to attend on to Vijay, a shot showing the team mates standing in the pavilion balcony had Praveen there also. How can they have two Praveen in the movie . One standing in the balcony and the other at runner's end!!!!!
A real movie hero is one who can make even an average movie a big success,it all depends on his skills.for instance 'kaho na pyaar hai' had an average story but it still made a huge succcess becoz of Hrithik and his skills.latest RBJ an average plot made it big becoz of SRK and drew everyone to theaters.so its in the actors hand to make it.these hurman or harman or whatever crap should stop acting and stop torturing us.
Iam so happy with this review. Looking at the promos on TV ... Victory looked Pathetic ... and i was praying it will flop world wide .. hope it flops 10 times more than expected. and hope Cricketers stop starring movies - just for the heck of it. Serves right for the diretor for banking on Cricketers rather than actual actors ... Sincerely hope even the cricketers will be embarrassed and hope their friends and relatives rag them for a long time to come ... on their stupid scenes in the movie.
The makers of these movies like 'victory' must learn from movies like 'slumdog millionaire'. SM has simple interesting story and great music and its at the top. no need to compare with hollywood movies still these directors like Ajitpal Mangat have to learn.
The movie is nt abt any passion fr the game, its jst a crazy obsession nd no wondr its like a religion. An aspirin cricketer's dream fullfilled will eithr result in putin him on a pedestal nd sort of bein a soldier of the country, or an aspirin cricketr's dream not bein fullfilled will result in depression nd havin OCD. Its silly tht recruits ar based on playrs who hav high contacts since tht is only shown in one scene nd its kind of funny.
Moreovr, too much feelings go into makin it to a team nd vijay is such a emotional fool nd his acting is so weak especially in the scenes wher he comes out first time to try out for team india. Is tht a how a sportsman is depicted, he actually sounds like a protestor. I think its due to the fct tht selection process is also weak bt its rather shown in only 1 scene.
Actually the movie covers many aspects of a player makin it to a team bt is borin to see the emotional side to it as mostly portrayin a player as a depression maniac. Tht too in early stages of a players career a father who actually suffers due to involvin himself emotionally.
Ovrall, the hurman is good as a cricketer bt defintly not good as an actor, he is really bad as an actor since he takes anthr path in the rags-riches plot as the silly man/model who splurges his money nd is in the wrong company w/a villainous boss.
Some ways victory is similar to fashion in his other job bt also its a one man show nd tht makes the movie boring nd it's no longer a sports film.
Everyone in Bollywood running after cricket.. It is horrible that they do not know any other game than Cricket to make story and interesting screenplay on it.
Sharukh Khan done his best with Hockey based story, but her too gone for cricket for IPL.
It is not good that 7 films are followed by Lagaan the story based on Cricket.
The money is wasted for Brett Lee and Harbajan Singh, and other cricketers. They can be utilized for ads like AIDS and POLIO awareness, and any other good cause. (it would have been better that they may be utilised for ads of commercial nature).
