I think Pavithra should be reviewing only songs like "Daddy, Mummy Veetil Illa" kinda of songs. This one is as bad as Naan Kadavul's review. Pavithra, do one thing: Go to Naan Kadavul movie again but this time blindfold yourself - only don't watch the movie but just listen to the re-recording and the music again. I felt as if I were in a music hall rather than in a movie theatre.

But my post is not for praising you dear Pavithra. I am a nuetral music lover. I love music whereever and whoever it comes from. No matter whether its Ilayaraja, Rahman, Harris, Vidhyasagar, Ramesh vinayagam, Pritam, Himesh... I/we expect you so called criticisers to also be the same. But unfortunately its not right in this case.
Its been a long time since I heard something that is so soothing and pleasing to ears. Just listen to 'Onnukonnu' and 'Melle oorndhu' - highlights of this album. And you have 'Kai veesi' a free flowing number. And the mischievous 'Oru vaandu koottamey'.
You have not degraded Ilayaraja by giving 2.5 stars in this review but its you who got demeaned!
rediff should first get hold of some decent critic who knows music and is qualified enough to review/analyse the music of someone of Ilaiyaraaja's calibre!
as usual, rediff gives a review that simply does not reflect the actual quality of the music

You are right Shekar! This is a ridiculous review, as bad as the one for Naan Kadavul. It simply proves the ignorance of Pavithra and it is a pity that such wonderful music has to be reviewed by someone like her.
I strongly disagree with the ratings...superb album and even beter than Naan Kadavul. I would rate it a 3.5 and nothing less than that..with this album, say goodbye to computerised nonsense and welcome original music...
