It is sad that part of the india is against one of our own good and versatile actor.For once if you ask people of our country to name a foreign actor namely from hollywood they would without doubt show courtesy to say then know them and appreciate but when it comes to our own they throw dirt onto themselves calling names.
Please appreciate no matter which part of India it is coming from.There are actors who do a fantastic job and acting has never asked people to be in particular shape or form...

itz not a big deal casting models fromt he ramp and from gym to ac movies n showcast the dumbest and most nonsense movies...
because the word talent and art are born qualities not moulded from any 5star gym or fashion agency!
n the word monkey for the southies.. there are much better looking men in southern film industry than the gays club of bollywood!!!

Why is any issue, if it appears on rediff, is made into a communal/racistic/casteistic/sexist issue? Why are the readers, or at least the ones who comment, of rediff so very lacking in ideas? And, as for this issue, I belive Mohanlal is one of best actors we have in this country, and it's really very sad that the northern part of this country hardly has time to see the cultural depth of the south. Movies are much more than just dance and fun...I truly bemoan the fact the people in the north hardly get to watch good cinema, and I believe that is reflected in their knowledge of the real nuances of life. They, well some of them, just have the gall to even call such racisitic names only because 'the other' doesn't exist in their immediate purview. Very sad state of affairs. Rediff editors, please wake, you are certainly spreading, rather encouraging, divisiveness in this highly diverse country, and it can back fire in no time.

I dont know buddy... But, whichever movie he acted in malayalam, when remaked into hindi, its a superhit. Example: Bhul Bhulaiah, Garam masala etc... coming to the point again most of the movies in hindi are the remake of malayalam movies. EX: Hera pheri, Phir hera pheri, Bhul bhulaiah, garam masala, upcoming(SRK) Billo Barber etc... In malayalam superstars are made by their acting not by looks... I think for you guys if some girls come and dance without dress then she is so called hot and some man has muscles then he is superstar... The only person who is still a good actor in hindi is Amitab other than that one more guy if i can compare with Amitab is Aamir khan.. nobody else in hindi are actors... they just can do only one type of role... see these guys who can handle different kinds of roles... that is the reason why these guys are superstars... Not because of anything else...

Do you think that aiswaria rai is the most beautiful woman in india... see Mr anurag even u may look far better than any other ape in kerala or even better that mohanlal... but each one has a talent of their own.. lal is one among the great actors in india,his son has already got award for best child artist in a movie... so if the same grown up kid is now acting with his dad of course its a news to read for every one..
I never heard of actor named Mohanlal, this is first time i heard of his name and he is a superstar of south.
How many superstars are there in south?. Anyways there are really funny youtube clips of superstars of south in youtube doing anything and everything with headings, South Superstars can do anything !!!

All Lal protesters are blaming on his physique. Guys, pls wake up, no where its written that an actor should have 6packs or 8packs, if that's the case how Denzel Washington and Adrien Brody can won Oscars?. You can not compare muscle khans with this awsome actor, he's true asset for India. In Cannes 99, when his movie Vanaprastham premiered, The Pianist director, Roman Polanski commented that, he born in the wrong part of the world!!! that much talent he have, guys go and watch his movies and then criticize.
