Bombay vs Kashmir,Assam,Delhi,ROI
by PRYANK Rohilla on Jan 28, 2009 08:20 PM

Why is that? Bombay is very important place, any mischap or terror attack happens here becomes very very imp issue for whole country.
What about hundred thousand lives that are killed in other terror attacks all over India???
Why not people/media/politicians focus much on terrror in kashmir, Assam and ROI? Why Bollywood actors don't go and march in Srinagar, Delhi, Guhwati?

Easy said that Bombay is - Amchi mumbai,Yeh hai meri mumbai.

All above mentioned is about one place. Very important place for India. Probably most important as of NOW. But is this place really Heartbeat of India???? Answer is NO.
I sincerely apologies and criticize terror attacks on Mumbai. But same time I feel ashamed and annoyed at attitude of Indians towards terrorism. Why we are not united against terror when it happens in any other part of country??? Shame on us!

terror
by diputjal sharma on Jan 27, 2009 12:09 PM

with due respect to your feelings nad creativity i would like to say that such incidents cannot be a topic to write poems but the need of the hour is that we should stand unitedly against such act of cannibalism and terror. it is time that we make our india a better place to live. at the same time it is also very shameful for us that people use such incidents to gain benefits.

Do we need any more violence?
by Sasanka Mahapatra on Jan 25, 2009 08:22 PM

"as I looked around and saw
the head of my friend's daughter
explode, the blood sailing outwards
and the drops, finding their own individuality..."
Do we need to be reminded of the blood and gore all over again?
I'm sorry, Mr. Kapoor, this was an insensitive poem I feel, and will in no way assuage the feelings of all of us apart from the actual victims...write a better one next time, we've had enough of blood letting.

solace for the troubled soul..
by srikanth venkatesh on Jan 25, 2009 12:49 AM

it takes a troubled man to come up with something like this.. the fact lies not in the worth of his work but in the thought that has gone behind it..

Poem for lost lives?! What nonsense!
by Ravi on Jan 23, 2009 12:21 PM  | Hide replies

Will this poem bring some relief to the bereaved family? Shekar Kapur needs to focus on his strength, film making. These craps won't help anyone. Let him narrate this poem to his grandsons some day.

Let Shekhar Kapoor be much more professional in his own job rather writing his poem.
He had a very good reputation of delaying his movies like
BARSAAT/JOSHILA/TIME MACHINE/PAANI.

Even his own directed hindi movies basically owned earlier by other directors. But he maged to swap all this in his favour like :
1.MASOOM : Originally to be directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. Rajesh Khanna and Smita Patil supposed to enact the leading roles.
2.MR. INDIA : Originally to be directed by Prakash Mehera. Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha supposed to enact the leading roles.
