India is poor because of lack of political will and education. The politicians are one to be blamed for supporting and bringing reservations for minorities. In India Majority does not have a say. India is poor cos of lack of good economic policies and commitment for the country, It is not country first. It is vote first.
People in India take things easy, sab chalta hain attitude.

UsualSuspect
It doesn't matter if SDM is an Indian movie !
by UsualSuspect on Jan 22, 2009 10:05 PM

If you look at the British producer and British director SDM is a British movie.

If you look at the cast and the locations where it was filmed, SDM is an Indian movie.

For Oscar purposes, it really does not matter if it's an Indian or a British movie. What matters is if an Indian won an Oscar or not.

And only one Indian i.e. ARR is in Oscar contention with three nominations. The rest of the 7 nominations of SDM are for Britishers.
